Health fair

A community health and science fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Grace Study Center, 50 Canal St., Suite 12, Granite­ville.

Free lung function, blood pressure and blood sugar and vascular screenings will be offered.

Gay activist talks

Author and gay-rights activist Marc Adams will speak on Bending the Arc at a service of Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Adams, the son of a Baptist minister, has written nine books, including The Preacher’s Son, Do’s & Don’ts of Dealing with the Religious Right and It’s Not About You: Understanding Coming Out & Self Acceptance. Learn more at meetmarcadams.com.

Bible Fellowship Church will celebrate its 10th anniversary at 10:30 a.m. Sun­day. The Rev. R. L. Jordan and Donna Ash­worth from Bee Hive Ministries will speak.

The Isaacs concert

The Isaacs will perform a concert of contemporary acoustic gospel and folk songs at 7 p.m. Feb. 10 at New Beginning Ministries, 1601 Williston Road, Beech Island. Rhett Canipe will be the opening act. Tickets are $15 and are available at
