'Speak Now'

Artist: Taylor Swift

Released: Oct. 25

My thoughts: Taylor Swift’s catchy beats and empowering lyrics never fail to serve as the perfect tune to loudly sing along to in the car with the windows rolled down. Her most recently released album entitled “Speak Now” certainly upholds these standards.

The songs in this album continue the tradition of telling love stories and bashing boyfriends including a few of Taylor’s past loves, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner and repeat offender, Joe Jonas.

The leading track, “Mine,” has dominated radio station for weeks already, and other tracks from this album are sure to follow suit. Slower paced songs fill the track list of “Speak Now” more than in her previous albums, creating a mature sound that reflects Swift’s growing talent. Taylor Swift has produced yet another hit that is definitely worth speaking about.

'I am not a Human Being'

Artist: Lil Wayne

Released: Digital release Sept. 27, physical version released Oct. 12

Rated: Parental Advisory

My thoughts: Expected to be one of Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter’s most controversial albums, the CD release of "I am Not a Human Being" on Oct. 12 was well awaited.

His music bridges the gap for all ethnic backgrounds giving us a reason to relate each other to. Some songs on this album include "I’m single," "Without You," "Popular," and the album titled song "I am Not a Human Being."

I personally love Lil Wayne’s music. This album epitomizes what he stands for, which is the ability to touch the lives of his fans. If I were you I would go out and buy this album of download it off of iTunes, because it is something you will truly enjoy.
