Earth, Wind & Fire concert announced for James Brown Arena

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Earth, Wind & Fire will come to Augusta in June for concert at James Brown Arena, organizers announced Monday.

The six-time Grammy award winners will appear at the arena June 18 as part of their “Now, Then & Forever” Tour. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, and may be purchased online at, by phone at (877) 428-4489 (877-4AUGTIX) and at the arena’s Champion’s Box Office.

The group, known for its dynamic horn section, elaborate stage shows and eclectic mix of soul, jazz, funk and pop, produced a string of hits in the 1970s and early 1980s, including Shining Star, That’s the Way of the World, Sing a Song, September and Boogie Wonderland.

Huge FAN!

I think I'm falling in love with Augusta! Earth, Wind and Fire is one of my favorite bands and knowing that I don't have to contend with the likes of Philips Arena to see them is wonderful!
