Answer: Whether it’s a stylist, makeup artist, manicurist, doctor or whatever, any time someone does not listen to you, you should leave. This is not to say that what the professional does in the end will be what you originally asked for. It might be that they feel what you want is not what’s best for you. They should explain why, and the two of you can come up with a beneficial and satisfying result.
If you are scared, make a few appointments for a consultation. This will give you a chance to get to know the person who will be taking care of you. A lot of energy, and information, is passed between two people in a consultation. It might take a few consultations to make a decision about who is the right professional for you.
Dear Scott: How should I arch my own eyebrows?
Answer: Where eyebrows are concerned, less is best. The more you pull out those eyebrow hairs, over time, they will stop growing back.
Right now, fuller eyebrows are in style. Follow the natural thickness of the brow and remove only the stray hairs.
Guys, for the most part, should take out only the center of the unibrow, and that’s it. Any more than that can look feminine and unnatural.
TIP OF THE WEEK: Shampoo your hair only once per wash. Skip the “repeat” step on the back of the bottle unless you are a farmer. You will save your hair color and prevent dry scalp.
