Choosing a home among all the charms Summerville had to offer was not an easy task, but the quiet atmosphere on Kings Way made the house an easy sell.
“The high ceilings and the first-floor bedrooms are what we liked about the house,” Carol Bennett said. “We came from a house with 8-foot ceilings.”
Though the four-bedroom, 3 ½-bath home was built more than 100 years ago, the original structure of the house still remains, with unique built-in cabinets, window seats and wood-paneled ceilings. Having a wealth of windows, the home exudes natural light to spotlight the Bennetts’ stylish yet homey decor.
The Bennetts have spent a great deal of time remodeling and fine-tuning their home, including converting a tucked-away downstairs powder room and opening an enclosed porch to reveal a private yet peaceful patio overlooking the pool.
