Dr. Mary Murray’s new Dutch Colonial home in Summerville is almost an exact duplicate of the house she had in Nantucket, Mass.

Murray made just a few minor tweaks, like flipping the floor plan 90 degrees, so the home would fit on its Henry Street lot.

“This is a really old neighborhood,” she said. “I wanted to have a house that was proportionate to the other homes around me.”

Murray moved back to Augusta about two years ago from Massachusetts to be closer to friends and family.

The 3,800-square-foot residence has four bedrooms and 41/2 bathrooms. The entry foyer opens to a winding staircase with an antique chandelier that is being renovated. A 1930s Steinmayer piano sits near the front door.

The kitchen and living room are open, but Murray made sure not to put a TV in that section of the home.

“I really like the idea of not having a giant TV in this room to distract us from enjoying each other,” she said.
