“You could (only) go north or south. Now you can go east or west,” she said.

Last year Kaminski ripped off the back of the house and added 1,700 square feet to it, expanding the living area, kitchen and master suite. The house is now about 3,200 square feet, she said.

The master bedroom on the north end of the house features a tray ceiling. A new master bathroom and a sitting room were added on, and the old master bathroom was converted into a walk-in closet.

The renovated living room on the south end of the house also features a tray ceiling and a large, brick fireplace. A chaise lounge in the sun room off of the living room gives Kaminski a place to relax and watch the variety of birds that perch and play in her gardens.

The kitchen was bumped out four feet during the remodel and given new cabinets and updated granite countertops. A deep blue island is the room’s centerpiece. The property contains a horse-riding ring, a dressage area and a pasture, in addition to stables.

The land was what drew her to the house on Smokey Road.

“I was looking for a place for my horses,” she said.
