Heritage Pine is what they’ve been looking for.
“It kind of reminds us of neighborhoods of back in the day and long ago,” Tony said. “We all know each other by name. We all have porches in the front and back to sit and chat with your neighbors.”
The wraparound porches are some of Pansy’s favorite features of the three-bedroom, 3½-bath home.
“We have a porch off our upstairs master bedroom. It’s perfect for morning coffee or taking a seat on the back porch before you go to bed,” Tony said.
The couple designed the home to have two master bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. When they get older, Pansy wants to ensure they can access their bedroom easily without climbing the stairs.
They also chose to have a kitchen nook instead of a formal dining room. Rather than having a living room, they built a great room.
“Since it’s just the two of us, we didn’t need a formal living or dining room,” Tony said. “So Pansy modified the plan to have this great room. It suits our lifestyle perfectly.”
The home came with standard features, such as hardwood floors, 9-foot tall ceilings, crown molding, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.
“We love it. It’s home,” Tony said. “This is our last house. This is it.”
