“It took me two seconds and I said, ‘This is it,’ ” Stone said.

Stone, a real estate agent with Meybohm, said that she had probably looked at 30 houses over four months before selecting her home in Westwick subdivision. She has lived in the Augusta neighborhood for one year.

“I think it’s a great starter neighborhood,” Stone said. “I love ranch homes, and the location was perfect. I wanted to be close to work and kind of near bars and restaurants. When I moved in, all of my neighbors brought me things. They’re very friendly around here.”

The 2,000 square-foot brick home has an extra room that was added in the back, which is Stone’s favorite room.

The red and yellow family room has pictures of Marilyn Monroe decorating the walls and colorful artwork from a friend over the fireplace. She also loves the home’s hardwood floors.
