Today's Home: Knob Hill

When Al and Christy Simmons were looking for a new home, they wanted more space and flat land, rather than the steep hill they lived on.

They found their home in the Knob Hill subdivision in Evans. The 4,300-square-foot home has six bedrooms, 4½ baths, an open loft area upstairs and a pool. They moved into the home in June.

“I like Knob Hill because all of the lots are large lots. It’s probably one of the smaller, closed subdivisions,” Al said.

Christy loved the home’s open floor plan, outdoor patio and high ceilings. They chose not to use curtains because they wanted to maintain the home’s openness.

The spacious kitchen has a built-in table, ice maker, double ovens and two sinks. Christy’s favorite room is the dining room with its pink walls. Each year, she puts up a pink Christmas tree for breast cancer awareness.
