Couple finds privacy wasn't very far away

It was love from the first moment Joy and Russ Krueger laid eyes on the 2,800-square-foot house in West Lake's Courtyard section.

They were living in the estate section of the subdivision at the time and wanted something with more privacy and less yard maintenance.

"It's different," Mrs. Krueger said of the two areas. "It's quieter here."

She said many people get lost trying to find their home because it is tucked away in the subdivision.

"I like this section of West Lake," she said.

The home was custom-built by its previous owner, and rumor has it that it is identical to a house he once owned in Palm Beach, Fla.

Not only did the Kruegers like the home's location but they also loved features such as its open floor plan with 16-foot ceilings throughout. Rooms are not square, and have lots of doors.

"Everything inside is on an angle," Mrs. Krueger said. "It has a nice flow."
