Edward and Margaret McKie were the first home buyers in Willhaven Estates subdivision, back in May 2009.
Now, they have lots of neighbors.
The McKies have five foster children living with them, so they needed plenty of space. They say their two-story, 2,585-square-foot house gave them "more bang for the buck."
The home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. There is a two-car garage, an attic, a fireplace, a covered patio, an upstairs laundry room, a walk-in closet and a nook.
There's a separate shower and bathtub, and dual sinks in the master bathroom.
The dining room features black walls above white presidential paneling. The McKies chose black appliances, a black splashboard and granite countertops for the kitchen.
For the cabinets they chose cherry wood, which matches much of their furniture.
"I love cherry wood because it is traditional and never goes out of style," Mrs. McKie said.
The McKies have custom decorated four of the bedrooms for the children.
Outside they have a Bermuda grass lawn, a red maple tree in the front yard and a Bradford pear tree to the side of the house.
