Several businesses are giving taxpayers something to look to forward to as tax season comes to an end Tuesday. Here are some freebies and special deals being offered for Tax Day:
HALF-PRICE DRINKS AND SLUSHES: On Tuesday, Sonic will extend its Happy Hour to all day. Customers will get fountain drinks and slushes for half-price throughout the day. Sonic offers Happy Hour from 2 to 4 p.m. daily.
15 PERCENT OFF: P.F. Chang’s is giving customers 15 percent off dine-in and take-out orders Tuesday. The offer excludes Happy Hour or P.F. Chang’s for Two.
FREE APPETIZER OR DESSERT: Chili’s is giving patrons a free appetizer or dessert with the purchase of an entree Monday through Wednesday. Customers can find a coupon on Chili’s Facebook or Twitter pages. It is also available through Chili’s e-mail list. At the restaurant, patrons can show the coupon on their smartphone or print it.
FREE CURLY FRIES: On Tuesday, Arby’s will give all patrons an order of value curly fries. The restaurant is also giving one person $5,000. To enter the sweepstakes to win $5,000 in tax relief, visit Arby’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/arbys and follow the instructions. From the Facebook page, consumers can also print the coupon for the free curly fries.
FREE COPIES AND SHREDDING: Through Monday, Office Depot will provide free copies of 2011 tax returns and shredding of confidential documents.
Customers can get 25 black-and-white, single-side copies and up to five pounds of shredding, all free of charge.
