I would like to take issue with the Augusta GreenJackets' general manager regarding the perceived need for a new baseball park.
Lake Olmstead Stadium gives us plenty of room for the crowds at games. It offers free parking, and it's more convenient for more people. I've been to the ballparks in Savannah, Columbus, Macon, Lawrenceville, Greenville, S.C., Asheville, N.C., and Knoxville, Tenn. I'd choose Lake Olmstead over any.
Maybe GreenJackets GM Nick Brown should seek a transfer from his job if he dislikes the current stadium in Augusta.
