Fight against liberal insanity

How could anyone, even a liberal, be so disingenuous as to put forth the idea that American media are not responsible for our current state of affairs in Washington?

Surely letter writer Jim Reid of Evans had tongue in cheek when he wrote the drivel that appeared on the editorial page Aug. 20 ("The Democrats won, so get over it"). And please don't call me a Republican. Republicans have sold their honor and convictions to the highest vote count just as Democrats have. The two parties are now liberal and liberal-lite.

Conservatism has been sold down the river to government education that teaches only the liberal line kindergarten through college, and the mindless blathering of liberal government media. The current economic mess was created by career politicians interfering with capitalism to ensure their continued election.

John McCain, the maverick, the weakest liberal-lite in the race, was not nominated by the Republican Party but by the media that eliminated any electable candidate. We are witness to the culmination of a five-decade-long plan by liberals and the media to create enough victims (votes) kept in line with entitlements and government jobs to establish a veritable dictatorship that never will be defeated in an election.

Speaking of a president in over his head, I am increasingly weary of being called a racist, a hatemonger, ill-informed, a Nazi and a terrorist because I expect my government to operate within the framework of the U.S. Constitution. No wonder indeed that Obama supports the deposed thug Manuel Zelaya, who would have re-written the Honduran constitution to provide him unlimited terms in office.

To paraphrase a quote attributed to Japanese Adm. Isoroku Yamamoto, used in a town hall meeting: You have awakened a sleeping giant. I now paraphrase Capt. John Paul Jones: We conservatives have not yet begun to fight the insanity of liberalism.
