I want to respond to Harold Jackson's guest column ("Given the U.S. experience in Iraq, we need clearer goals for other war," Feb. 4) by saying that I don't agree on everything he said in this column.
The Bush administration was not only just wrong about the weapons of mass destruction. It was wrong about many other things. It was wrong about violating the Geneva Conventions and ordering prisoners of war to be tortured in any way. It was wrong about sending a lot of U.S. troops to get injured or killed.
I'm not sure if Osama bin Laden was or is the mastermind of the 9-11 attacks, because the Bush administration went by bad and inaccurate intelligence. President Bush even lied about some comments he made in some of his State of the Union addresses. The Bush administration was wrong about starting a war with Iraq and Afghanistan in the first place.
President Obama needs to get all U.S. troops out of both of these countries and end both of these wars.
