Before laying blame, look at facts

Before anyone blames the current economic bailouts on Bush or McCain, because they didn't see it coming and didn't do anything, everyone needs to look at the facts.

The chairman of the banking committee was Sen. Dodd, and it was Dodd who took the most money from the industry he was supposed to oversee.

Then there's the need to consider that Sen. Obama was the third-largest recipient of funds from the industry. No one has shown me that McCain ever took a penny from the banking industry.

There is plenty of blame to go around in the House and Senate, and I'm not excusing Bush, but it was McCain who called for changes to prevent just what has happened as far back as 2005.
