I have served as the executive director of the Augusta Rescue Mission for more than seven years. It has now come time for me to move on and serve God in other ways. I just wanted everyone to know how grateful I am to have partnered with this community to help the homeless and needy.
Over and over, volunteers and financial donors stepped up to the plate and helped us help others. While we may hear so much about the bad things people do in our area, we are truly blessed with a good group of neighbors who give sacrificially to help those suffering from poverty or addictions.
The Rescue Mission is different in many ways. It is Christ-centered, and it teaches others to take personal responsibility for their lives by not depending on others and the government to fix your problems.
I just want the community to know that I was deeply honored to serve the CSRA as the director of the Rescue Mission.
If God allows I intend to stay in the area and continue helping others come to know Christ as their Savior! God bless each of you.
