Regarding "Petraeus report was so much snake oil" (Sept. 13): Lowell Greenbaum has struck again.
He is best qualified to spread his snake oil and garbage, equivalent to a PFC (Private Foul Citizen) criticizing an honorable, knowledgeable and effective four-star general.
Unfortunately but proudly, I am one of many veterans responsible for giving Dr. Greenbaum access to tooting his horn through freedom of speech. Can the good doctor claim the same responsibility and accomplishment? ...
The self-proclaimed military knowledge of Dr. Greenbaum is doubtfully infinite. Consequently, his expertise is best suited in Washington, D.C., advising my president, thereby joining his cohorts, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the rest of those wanna-bes.
This doctor has bragged about bringing Slick Willie (a.k.a. President Clinton) up the Savannah River in 1992 on a pontoon boat, and claims affiliation with former Senate Majority Leader Charles Walker. I highly recommend the good doctor apply for a crash course on how to chose respectable, honest and loyal friends.
The Democrats' claim to fame is having started a downward domino effect beginning with President Carter's Panama Canal miscue, amplified by his inviting the draft resisters and deserters to return home - creating one of the biggest blunders in American history since President Truman relieved Gen. Douglas MacArthur. And let us not forget the Monica Lewinsky episode
Yes, the surge in Iraq is failing - with the help of Democrats aiding the enemy with despicable, blasphemous and erroneous propaganda. This jargon from Dr. Greenbaum is by far borderline sacrilege: to "cut and run" and duplicate our Vietnam fiasco, and further shrink our dollar worldwide (like the euro in Europe).
Dr. Greenbaum is unable to comprehend that his grandchildren eventually will suffer greatly in many ways for his determined falsehoods. God bless us all.
