We're the original 'illegal immigrants'

It is pretty bad when people of other countries come to your country, uninvited, and proceed to take advantage of all you have to offer. They say they are seeking a better life, and some do strive for a better life by obeying the laws in their new land, learning the language and becoming productive citizens. But in many cases, when they can't achieve this through the proper channels, they choose to take what they want by force since they feel they have the right to because they are at a disadvantage.

Many people feel that way about the problem of illegal immigrants. But I'm actually referring to the settling of these United States. Everyone here is an illegal immigrant, unless you are the descendants of the original "Americans."

Europeans, mainly, came to this land more than 400 years ago and took it for themselves, and have since claimed it as theirs with a total disregard for the native people. "Illegal immigrants" enslaved and slaughtered these native peoples in the name of God, as these people were considered less than human and therefore were better off being annihilated or hidden from the view of the public.

So the next time anyone wants to complain about illegal immigrants, research your genealogy. Research the Statue of Liberty, which displays a plaque that reads in part, "Bring us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses ... ."
