Rep. John Barrow will hold his annual jobs fair in Augusta next week while away from Congress for a month-long district work period.
The event will be held at Georgia Regents University’s Christenberry Fieldhouse from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug 9.
In addition to helping with employment opportunities, job-seekers will be able to participate in career building workshops, including resume writing and best-practices for job interviews.
“Sometimes, the hardest part about finding a job is knowing where to look,” the Augusta congressman said in a news release. “We’re taking the searching part out of the equation by bringing together employers from our region who are hiring right now. Our economy depends on a robust jobs market, and I want to make sure everyone in our region who’s looking for a good job can meet with employers who have good jobs to fill.”
