Baseball official gets press box prostate exam

  • Follow Latest News

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — There as much attention on the press box as on the field at the Myrtle Beach Pelicans minor league baseball game as team’s general manager had a public prostate exam.

During the seventh inning stretch of Thursday’s game, Andy Milovich bended over with his head out the press box window singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” as the exam was performed.

Milovich had the exam performed as part of a challenge with a 10-year-old boy suffering from brain cancer who has a Facebook page telling about his fight. Milovich agreed to have the exam done if the page got 10,000 “likes,” a number reached Monday.

Milovich said it probably was one of the oddest nights in minor league baseball but also one of the most important.

Saw on TV this morning

The coach didn't miss a note during his exam. His voice was a couple of notes higher during the "finger wave".
At least he didn't have to turn and cough.

Oh boy

He could have been charged with public indecent exposure.
I was just corrected by someone close to the action...not enough evidence to bring charges. Thats the short of it all

Awesome

Dang I missed it. What a humorously cool thing to "pay up". We were in MB in June, I did go to Pelican game. Kind of hard to figure out HOW this wager was decided upon...

Trying to figure out what

Trying to figure out what exactly this had to do with a kid with brain cancer. Was it just the guy's twisted humor that came up with the payment for the wager or did the kid come up with this? A 10 year old wouldn't even know what a prostate exam was... How about 10,000 likes and he donates $1K to cancer research or something productive?

Stupid and disgusting

Are these people 12-year-olds? Maybe the "men" involved operate at that level and found it hilarious, but the truth is that it was an insult to people attending the game, especially the women and children.

"What doctor worth his diploma on the wall, would do something like this?"

Hmmm, just checked the article twice.....nothing was mentioned about a doctor doing the exam......or a finger being used.
