Pardon Our Mess: Uprooted tree at Warren Road Community Center

  • Follow Metro

WHERE: Warren Road Community Center

WHAT: An uprooted tree that fell during a February ice storm left a gaping hole near a heavily traveled walkway.

WHO’S RESPONSIBLE: Augusta Recreation, Parks and Facilities

ACTION PERFORMED: Karen Prince, the director of Warren Road Community Center, said workers have slowly chipped away at the tree since the ice storm but were unable to completely remove it because of its size. After submitting a work order early last week, the tree was removed and the hole filled with soil.
