Georgia man shot while sleeping

SNELLVILLE, Ga. — Police in Atlanta’s northeastern suburbs are searching for suspects after a man was shot in the back while he slept inside a home.

WAGA-TV reports the gunfire happened around midnight Sunday on Trotters Pointe Drive in Snellville.

A woman called authorities to report the shooting that wounded her fiancé. He was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition wasn’t immediately made public.

Police say it appears that the suspects got out of a truck and then opened fire at the home. Authorities describe the vehicle as a dark-colored, four-door-style pickup truck, possibly black or maroon.
