Miss Georgia 2014 crowned

COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Miss Capital City Maggie Bridges was named the 2014 Miss Georgia Saturday night at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.

Bridges, who is from Brinson in south Georgia, will go on to represent Miss Georgia at the Miss America pageant in September.

In front of a packed crowd, she also was the overall evening wear winner with a stunning royal blue long sleeve gown.

Bridges, 21, sang There Will Come A Day.

Miss Warner Robins Olivia McMillan was named the 2014 Miss Georgia Outstanding Teen. Her opera performance drew a standing ovation.

This week marked the 70th anniversary of the pageant.
