JESUP, Ga. — Authorities in south Georgia say a woman working with a film crew has been struck and killed by a train while making a biographical film about musician Gregg Allman.
Several production crew members working on the upcoming Allman Brothers biopic, “Midnight Rider,” were conducting a camera test on the railroad tracks behind Rayonier Performance Fibers paper mill in Jesup, Ga., WJCL reports.
The crew was on the trestle bridge near Doctortown Road, leaving them no place to go as the train approached. One of the production crew was killed and seven others were injured. They were taken to Wayne County Hospital for treatment.
Sheriff’s officials haven’t released the woman’s identity, and officials from CSX rail company say they’re working with authorities on the investigation.
