Thursday closings, schedule changes

The following closings or schedule changes have been announced for Thursday and others days this week.


AUGUSTA -- "Winter Jam" 2014, originally scheduled for Thursday, has been cancelled due to weather conditions. 


AUGUSTA -- Augusta Richmond County offices will be closed on Thursday, February 13, 2014. Public safety employees and departments responsible for responding to the current emergency conditions should report per their usual schedule


AUGUSTA --  Richmond County schools and central offices will be closed Thursday.

AUGUSTA -- District Attorney's Office will be closed Thursday.

EVANS -- Columbia County Offices will  operate on a delayed opening on Thursday, February 13, 2014 due to freezing rain and icy road conditions.  Columbia County offices will open at NOON.

AUGUSTA --  Jurors in panel 2 for the Adrian Hargrove trial before Judge James Blanchard Jr.  are to report at 2 p.m. Thursday. Jurors on panels 3 and 4 are to report Friday, and jurors on panels 5 and 6 will report Saturday.

AUGUSTA --  Georgia Regents University will remain closed on Thursday, affecting all daytime classes and student activities on the Health Sciences, Summerville and Forest Hills campuses, including those at the Wellness Center, Student Health Clinic and Daycare Center on the Health Sciences campus.

 

Outpatient clinics at the Georgia Regents Medical Center will reopen at 1 p.m. Thursday,

 Outpatient clinic personnel are expected to report to work no later than noon Thursday. Patients should call the clinic after 1 p.m. Thursday to reschedule missed appointments.

 AUGUSTA --  Georgia Bank & Trust and Southern Bank & Trust locations will be closed Thursday, February 13, 2014.     

 

FORT GORDON -- Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center - All scheduled surgeries and appointments are canceled and all clinics are closed Thursday and will reopen on Friday.

 

AIKEN -- All non-essential Aiken County Government facilities will be closed Thursday.

 

AUGUSTA -- Residential recyclables and trash collection for Richmond County customers will be suspended for Thursday.  Collections will resume Friday, weather permitting.  

AUGUSTA -Augusta Technical College will be closed on Thursday.  Augusta Technical College administration will make a decision regarding Friday as the weather advisories are updated.

EVANS -- Columbia County schools will be closed Thursday. All school system activities have been canceled. Twelve-month personnel should report to work by noon Thursday,  only if conditions are safe for travel. A delayed start to the school day is highly possible for Friday.


AUGUSTA --  On Thursday, all Goodwill operations are scheduled to reopen at 11 a.m. All Helms and School of Health operations open at noon.

 

AIKEN -- Aiken County public schools will be closed Thursday, Feb. 13, because of the weather. This includes all activities and adult education, school officials said.

AUGUSTA -- Episcopal Day School will be closed Thursday, Feb. 13.  

ATLANTA -- Georgia Department of Labor  offices affected by the severe winter weather will remain closed through Thursday, Feb 13. 

 ATLANTA -- This week's winter weather has forced the Alzheimer's Association to reschedule its annual Alzheimer's Awareness Day at the Georgia Capitol from this Thursday the 13th  to Thursday, Feb. 27.

AUGUSTA --  The Buzz on Biz Career Expo delayed from Thursday to Monday, Presidents Day from 11-4 p.m. at the Legends Club on Washington Road in the National Hills Shopping Center. Because school may not be in session, we are allowing job seekers to bring their children if they supervise them.
