ATLANTA — Forecasters are predicting icy roads and light snow in parts of the north Georgia mountains.

The National Weather Service early Thursday issued a winter weather advisory through Friday morning for Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Pickens, Dawson, Lumpkin and White counties. It says icy roads will be possible in the area, as well as accumulating snow at elevations of 1,500 feet and above.

In metro Atlanta, temperatures are expected to drop into the low 20s by early Friday.

A wind advisory will also go into effect Thursday afternoon, as gusts of up to 35 mph are expected across much of the state.

Calling AlGore

Global warming anyone? Time we stopped this unscientific farce...blizzard coming to northeast...snow in Georgia...ship full of global warming scientists trapped in unprecedentedly large ice area near Antarctica...etc. ad nauseam.

Climate protests for $$$$ & votes

Global Freezing (1960-70)
Global Warming (1980-2000)
Global Climate Change Global Dryness then Global Flooding,
then Global Solar Cooling (2000-2014)

I've lost track, is there a new Climate protest agenda name?
I want to get in on some of this new protest, eco-blackmail, carbon credit tax $$$$$$$.
