SAVANNAH, Ga. — Police in Savannah are searching for suspects after a violent weekend that resulted in two people slain and left three other people hospitalized.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police say the violence began around 1:08 a.m. Saturday, when 16-year-old Rahssan Baker, was found in the street with a gunshot wound. He was taken from the scene on West 42nd Street to Memorial University Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.

Around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, 57-year-old Moses Mack was found dead in his bed with head trauma in his East Anderson Street home.

Then, around 11:29 p.m. Saturday, 36-year-old Hector Brown was killed and two other men injured in a triple shooting on East 39th Street. The men had left a party in the area. The survivors of the shooting told police that a man in a pickup truck pulled up beside their vehicle and began firing at them. The two wounded men were treated for their injuries at a local hospital.

Police are asking anyone with information on the cases to call or text CrimeStoppers.

I'm sorry but it does not

I'm sorry but it does not. Since Sheriff Roundtree has been in office, the amount of violent crimes in Richmond County has dropped. I am from Savannah and go home at least twice a month. That area from West 38th to Price St on the east side is a terrible area. My aunt lives on Seiler Ave, and you can no longer sit on your front porch in broad daylight.
