Worker killed in Atlanta billboard fall named

ATLANTA  — Officials have released the name of a worker who was killed in a fall from a billboard near Turner Field in Atlanta.

WXIA-TV reports that 53-year-old Keith Fenton of Douglasville died in the mishap on Friday afternoon.

Fenton was a contractor for Clear Channel Outdoor. The company released a statement expressing condolences and saying it will cooperate in any investigation of the man's death.

Fenton was working on a billboard when he fell. Police say the man's death appears to be an accident.

Not an accident. Safety restraints prevent fatal falls. Either

a personell or equipment failure.

Sounds like shortcuts were

Sounds like shortcuts were being taken. Those guys have to follow so many safety procedures and connect to so many safety things that it's nearly impossible to fall to the ground unless a step was ignored. OSHA investigation coming soon, I'll bet.
