WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says he told House Speaker John Boehner he’s willing to negotiate with Republicans on their priorities, but not under the threat of “economic chaos.”

Obama spoke to reporters at the White House Tuesday in the midst of the eighth day of a partial government shutdown and a few hours after calling Boehner.

Obama says he urged Boehner to hold a vote immediately to reopen the government.

The White House says Obama also urged Boehner to hold a vote that would allow the government to borrow more money.

Senate Democrats are planning a vote this week to provide new borrowing, without new spending cuts Republicans want.

Blink, They have Blinked

Yesterday Obama is passed it off to Reid to get out of the BLAME Spotlight.

Yesterday Jon Stewart grilled Dir. Kathleen Sebelius on Obamacare

It appears even some former supporters have figured out Obama-care-less is costly, has too many business exceptions, and students are going to have to pay a lot $$$$ FINES/TAXES $$$$ that they do not have to waste.

Heck he even hit on how the OC was not affordable, was reducing jobs hours and etc.....

For such a popular left talk show host to drill another liberal Kathleen Sebelius on Obamacare for using NEWS SPEAK vs. real life means people are starting to see there are serious problem with it.

Hold. The. Vote.

If the will of the American people expressed through Congress wants to keep the government shut down - prove it.

Over the weekend the

Over the weekend the Republican-controlled House unanimously voted to restore back pay to everyone furloughed right now.

So, we are spending as much, but not getting any products or services in return. How absolutely stupid is that? Is that the negotiating strategy? We'll waste our tax dollars on gov't employee vacations until the terms are met? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

And they returned 350,000(!)

And they returned 350,000(!) Pentagon employees to work, AND the CDC has staff returned to deal with an ongoing, multistate Salmonella outbreak.

In the spirit of RINO, let's add a new one to the lexicon: SINO.

Shutdown In Name Only.

Isn't funny how Obama is the "populace" president when the populace agree with him, but now 62% want a reduction in spending and the ACA is a very unpopular law-becoming more unpopular.-he ignores everyone I just got the bad news from insurance company how I can keep my present insurance for a year but after that I have to be ACA compliant with rise from $640 to $1040 and a 7K deductible. Families are going to be really ticked off at the rise in their health care costs. So I can start saving this year to pay the extra $400 a month next year when I have to be ACA compliant. So Obama lied when he said I can keep my present insurance.

Oh Burn you didn't see that

Oh Burn you didn't see that movie-"No country for old white men". It's a movie about this young black president who kicks all the old white men out of the US-sort a like when America kicked the Mormons out of America. At least he doesn't get assassinated like the Bush movie. People confuse he hates old white men "and" the US, but he hates Old white men "in" the US. So he boots their sorry butts out. It's a common mistake people make. I don't know I see his point-Old white men in the US are kind of skanky but kickin' them out seems harsh.

Negotiate

From the story:

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says he told House Speaker John Boehner he’s willing to negotiate with Republicans on their priorities, but not under the threat of “economic chaos.”

That is Obamaspeak; but the plain English translation is —

“I will negotiate with the Republicans, but I will do so only on my terms, on my timetable, with my advisers in attendance, in a place of my choosing. And I will not compromise one iota on my agenda. Doesn’t everyone see how magnanimous I am?”

Hold the vote. It makes sense

Hold the vote. It makes sense to hold the vote John Boehner. Oh, I forgot for a minute that the Speaker of the House is running scared, out of time, and afraid that the votes are there to reopen the government. There is nothing to negotiate. Obama Care is law, upheld by the Supreme Court, and is here to stay. Get over it and move on!

Settled Law?

The immigration laws are also upheld by the Supreme Court, as is the Defense of Marriage Law and several Voter I.D. laws. But that does not stop the Obama regime from ignoring their enforcement. That does not stop the Obama regime from challenging them in court.

It is "my way or highway" for Obama. The devil does not negotiate.

Sad, and dismaying . . .

Though Harry Reid is a despicable man, there is but one man more disgusting than Reid and Obama amid all this government "shutdown" drama - - - - - - - - - - -

That man is Senator John McCain. The people of Arizona should be ashamed of him. They should recall him.

Why not just hold the vote? Prove that the House - the full House - wants this shutdown to continue.

Looks like ODS has claimed yet another victim ... come back to the real world with the rest of us. Both AZ's immigration laws AND DOMA were struck down, as unconstitutional, by the Supreme Court. Voter ID laws occur on the state level, and the Obama administration has done absolutely nothing to prevent states from enforcing their own laws.

I'm totally on board with taking the President to task for things that are real. This current trend of people simply making things up to be outraged about is becoming ridiculous.

"There is nothing to negotiate. Obama Care is law, upheld by the Supreme Court, and is here to stay. Get over it and move on!"

No chance in their getting over the election. These people are the ones hooked on entitlement. They think they are entitled to the White House even though they lost two national elections. They think they are entitled to ruin the country because the "Canadian" Senator who is Speaker of the House said so. Meanwhile Cruz has convinced them that it is the President, Pelosi, and Harry Reid who are shutting down the government. How Cruz manages to pull this off especially after many GOP congressmen are proudly on the record crowing about the shutdown, should be a case study in mind control.

As a party they insult every demographic of the electorate as a group but white men. But they are convinced they are losing elections because of voter fraud. They take no responsibility for their coarse discourse because to speak civilly is "political correctness" and they must "take it to the liberals" and not be afraid to call it like it is. Never mind the old fashioned habit of using "good manners."

Like an addict, many in the Republican party are addicted to chaos.

Agreed.
Yes, hold the vote and deny Obama his "shutdown." Or at least prove what liars the Dems are when they say there are not enough votes for a clean CR to pass.

Let the House vote, "House Speaker" Cruz.

Back in March, at an

Back in March, at an insurance industry conference in Washington, the problems were apparent. Henry Chao, chief information officer at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services openly fretted that the exchanges wouldn’t be ready by October. “I’m pretty nervous—I don’t know about you,” he told the crowd. “Let’s just make sure it’s not a third-world experience.” At the time, Chao’s comment seemed like an attempt at dark humor. One week into the launch of Obamacare, however, it’s not a joke: it’s literally easier to blog from the Kenyan border than to sign up for insurance on Obamacare’s federal exchange. Why is this happening? Politics. The Obama administration was more afraid of delaying the launch of Obamacare, than they were of botching it.

TM, we get it, it's the law, but why implement it when it's not ready. What's the rush? Is 6 months or 1 year really going to make that much difference when all you are going to be doing is back tracking and correcting problems until then?

RISE AND FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE

Anyone who has read this fascinating account of History will recognize the fact that our country is following in the same path and is getting toward the end of the book. I'm not sure if there is a way to turn us around but at least I know I will be watching from a better place and hope that a Higher Power will lend a hand.
