Augustan top woman in Atlanta half-marathon

ATLANTA – Former Greenbrier High track standout Bridget Lyons, now of Augusta, finished first Sunday in the women’s division of the Atlanta half-marathon.

Lyons, 25, who also competed at the University of Georgia, recorded a time of 1:22:16 in the Allstate Life Insurance℠ Atlanta 13.1 Marathon. A field of more than 3,600 participants registered.

Andrew Cawood, of Marietta, Ga., won first place in the male division with a time of 1:17:39.
