Aiken man dies in crash

A 43-year-old Aiken man died early Monday, Aiken County’s second fatal accident of the Memorial Day weekend.

According to the Aiken County coroner, Keith W. Bradberry was pronounced dead about 2 a.m. at the Georgia Regents Medical Center trauma unit after an accident that took place about 10:20 p.m. Sunday on Highway 19 North near Mallard Court.

According to witnesses, Bradberry was traveling north on Highway 19 when he attempted to pass another vehicle. His 2004 Cadillac CTS left the road, went into a ditch, then returned to the southbound lane, sideswiping a southbound SUV. Bradberry’s vehicle overturned several times, ejecting him, according to the coroner. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.

The coroner’s office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate.

Excessive speed and use of alcohol are being considered as contributing factors, the coroner said. Bradberry was not wearing a seat belt.

I believe he is Porky

I believe he is Porky Bradberry's son, but I think he worked with his father.

I think so, too, clemsongirl,

I think so, too, clemsongirl, but waiting on the Chronicle for an update, to be sure, if he's part of the family of Porky Bradberry's Jewelry and Cash 4 Gold of Aiken.
