Augusta State runner qualifies for NCAA Championship

Augusta State’s Dustin Ross made history Tuesday, becoming the school’s first track athlete to qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships, May 23-25, in Pueblo, Colo.

Ross, a sophomore, qualified for the men’s 1,500 with a time of 3:50.31. He is seeded 16th among 24 runners for the preliminary run.

Augusta State started an outdoor track and field program earlier this year.
