One person is dead and police are searching for a shooter after an argument in Bath turned violent Saturday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., Aiken County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the first block of Church Street and found James Davis, 20, of Warrenville, dead, with a gunshot wound to the face, according to authorities.

Witnesses told police there had been an argument between the shooter and Davis, and the shooter had fled in a green Ford Explorer.

Police have a suspect, but no one had been arrested Sunday night.
