Falcons to honor Reese Hoffa at home opener

The Atlanta Falcons will recognize Reese Hoffa for his bronze-medal winning performance at the London Olympics during a pregame ceremony at the Georgia Dome on Monday night.

The Falcons will honor Hoffa, a former Lakeside High School and University of Georgia standout, and other Olympians from the Peach State who took home medals this summer.

In his third try at the Olympics, Hoffa finally won his first medal in the shot put.

The Falcons will take on the Denver Broncos in their home opener at 8:30 p.m.

The only baseball or football

The only baseball or football player Lakeside has ever had to make the Olympics. He was both in addition to putting the shot as they say.
