Falcons to honor Reese Hoffa at home opener

United States' Reese Hoffa bites his bronze medal during the ceremony for the men's shot put at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The Lakeside graduate received his first medal during his third Olympics appearance.

The Atlanta Falcons will recognize Reese Hoffa for his bronze-medal winning performance at the London Olympics during a pregame ceremony at the Georgia Dome on Monday night.

The Falcons will honor Hoffa, a former Lakeside High School and University of Georgia standout, and other Olympians from the Peach State who took home medals this summer.

In his third try at the Olympics, Hoffa finally won his first medal in the shot put.

The Falcons will take on the Denver Broncos in their home opener at 8:30 p.m.
