ATLANTA — Michael Carson, who led M.L. King High to the Class AAAAA quarterfinals last season, has been suspended and replaced at the school, DeKalb County Schools said Wednesday.
Defensive backs coach Robert Freeman has been leading practices as the interim head coach this week.
Carson is accused of sending nude photos to the mother of a football player, according to Fox 5 News and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“There were some nude photos involved of the coach,” DeKalb Schools spokesman Jeff Dickerson told the television station. “My understanding is that they were shown to people who were around at the time, and many of them may include students.”
Carson, reached on his cellphone Tuesday, declined to comment and referred questions to an attorney, who did not return a phone call Tuesday.
