Columbia County authorities are trying to find Sherie Jones. Her name is engraved inside a 1976 Evans High School class ring that was found Thursday.

According to a news release, the ring was discovered by a worker at the Little River Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Anyone with information that would help reunite the ring with its owner may call the EMA Office at (706) 868-3303 or e-mail emergencymanagement@columbiacountyga.gov, the news release said.

Authorities?

This is a class ring, not a small child. Anyway, hope the owner gets it back.
