ATLANTA — Atlanta police say officers shot two men suspected of taking part in an early-morning home invasion.
Police say the home invasion and shootings took place shortly after 1:30 a.m. Friday in southwest Atlanta.
Atlanta police Capt. Adam Lee III tells CBS Atlanta that two suspects were shot by officers when police confronted them when they ran out the back of the home.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported one man was killed and police are now searching for at least two more suspects.
Lee said police responded to the home on Richland Road after a woman hiding in a closet called 911 and said someone had broken in.
Authorities said five other women were in the home at the time. None of them were injured.
