The driver, Dylan Snipes, 20, lost control of his 2004 Chevy Silverado pick-up truck in Effingham County near I-16, Effingham County Sheriff’s Office spokesman David Ehsanipoor said.

“The man’s truck flipped several times and the truck was cut in half,” Ehsanipoor said. “It’s amazing he survived.”

Snipes had to be extricated from the truck by emergency crews. He was taken by helicopter to Memorial Health University Medical Center.

“Deputies are told his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening,” Ehsanipoor said.

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in this crash, Ehsanipoor said. The crash remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.

Alcohol may also be involved

Alcohol may also be involved with the headline for this report under Top headlines. I object to the term "cops."

Wow!!

*Believed to be a factor*
Ok, well lets go with alcohol was involved, proof positive that the drunk driver usually walks away. How? No idea!! This looks like it would have killed someone.
Am glad he didn't hit someone else, very glad!!

Professionalism

is dead in journalism...they use slang terms and don't know the difference between a robbery and a burglary.

Hunting snipes....

I'm glad they didn't have to go hunting for Snipes. Relieved he survived. I hope he'll be alright; but I don't know how he could come out completely unscathed except God's grace.

Wreck

This is his older brother. Our family would really appreciate if all the negative people on this website would refrain from posting hurt full things about something that they have no clue about except for what they have read or watched on the news which is completely inaccurate of what happend The reason that he survived. As you can see in the photo. Is that The interior of the cab is relatively untouched. The only reason that it is damaged like it is is because the fire fighters have to cut the top off in a side door impact on both sides of vehicle, the front windshield and the back weren't broken or cracked untill they tried to get him out. He was not drinking he was on the way to work just to let you all know. So if you must comment please do so with som common curtesy because this could happen to anyone and I bet if it were you or a family member of yours you really would not appreciate people talking about you or your loved ones.
