Crews spent several hours at a Peach Orchard Road intersection cleaning up wood chips after a tractor trailer overturned Thursday.

Richmond County sheriff’s Capt. Steven Strickland said the incident occurred just before noon when the tractor trailer’s load shifted as it attempted to make a left turn off of Georgia Highway 88 onto Peach Orchard Road.

Authorities do not believe speed played a factor.

Injuries were not reported.
