Hilton Alphonso Milton, of Hephzibah, was pronounced dead at 3:21 a.m., according to an email from Richmond County Deputy Coroner Kenneth Boose.
Deputies were called to the 2400 block of Windsor Spring Road about 2:30 a.m. in response to an accident with injuries, dispatch confirmed.
The driver whose vehicle struck Milton, 22-year-old Kalisha Luke, was charged with a driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, and homicide by vehicle, deputies said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab, Boose said.
