Two Augusta roads will be closed Tuesday because of construction.

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the eastbound inside lane of River Watch Parkway, a little less than a mile east of River Shoals Drive, will be closed to replace the median guardrail. The outside lane will remain open, but authorities recommend using Washington Road and Alexander Drive to avoid traffic.

Also from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the westbound lanes of the 200 block of Greene Street (Forsythe Street to Fifth Street) will be closed for tree removal. Drivers should use Broad, Ellis or Telfair Streets as alternatives.
