COLUMBUS, Ga. -- A woman police say was caught shoplifting from a mall on Saturday ran from her pursuers across Manchester Expressway, escaping onto a nearby collge campus before reappearing in only shorts and a bra.

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports that Monica Renee Morris, 18, was charged with theft by shoplifting and two counts of disorderly conduct, Columbus police said. She appeared Monday in Columbus Recorder’s Court and pleaded guilty to the theft and one disorderly accusation.
