Savannah River Site communications veteran Clifton Webb was named this week as the new vice president of corporate affairs for Fluor Corp.

Webb, with 35 years in government and public affairs roles, has most recently served as vice president of corporate communications for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, a joint venture led by Fluor that manages SRS operations for the Energy Department.

In joining Fluor, Webb brings experience that includes senior-level roles at DuPont. Webb began his career with the Energy Department at SRS and later became deputy director of external affairs.

Webb, whose new job begins June 1, will replace Fluor’s Lee C. Tashjian, whose retirement takes effect June 29.
