Two are in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash on Deans Bridge Road this afternoon.

Richmond County sheriff’s Capt. Scott Gay said the driver of a white GMC pickup was northbound between Hoods Chapel and Bath-Edie roads around 1:50 p.m. when the driver left the right side of the roadway for an unknown reason.

Authorities said the driver overcorrected and hit the center median causing the vehicle to flip.

The driver and a passenger were ejected from the vehicle and unresponsive when deputies arrived at the scene. One was airlifted and one was transported to the hospital by ambulance, Gay said.

A third person, who was riding in the middle of the cab, was unharmed.
