According to Richmond County jail records Shannon Maxwell, 21, was being held Sunday morning.

The Anderson Independent newspaper reports that Maxwell was charged with murder in the shooting deaths of two men in northeast Georgia's Stephens County in late April.

“The GBI Fugitive Squad and the Region Office in Augusta, Ga., as well as the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, have been closing in on Maxwell all week,” Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley told the newspaper. “Friday, they got even closer and were able to capture Mr. Maxwell without incident.”

Maxwell is one of three men charged with murder in the shooting deaths of Mauricio Maldondo, 48, and Victor Martinez, 34, early on the morning of April 29 at the men’s residence in Eastanollee, Ga., The Independent said.
