It wasn’t time to separate just yet.

Twins Chelsea and Chasity Maultsby, seniors on the Laney girls basketball team this past season, both signed letters of intent with Chattahoochee Tech on Wednesday.

This past season, the Lady Wildcats went 29-2 and advanced to the GHSA Class AA state semifinals for the fourth consecutive season.

Chasity, who plans to major in criminal justice, said her time at Laney prepared her for the next level, with coach Otis Smart helping significantly.

“He taught me to keep my attitude straight and listen,” Chasity said.

As for her sister, Chelsea is already thinking about her time and success with the Lady Wildcats.

“I reflect on it every day,” Chelsea said. “I’m going to miss my teammates.”
