Drug forum tonight for concerned parents

  • Follow Latest News

A series of parent forums concludes tonight with a program on substance abuse.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., the forum will be held at Grovetown Middle School and feature drug counselors Steve Winklemann and Terry Childers as presenters.

Winklemann and Childers will discuss signs and symptoms of drug abuse, resources available for users and their families, information on prescription drugs, and notes on how to approach teens about substance abuse.

Sponsored by the Columbia County Alternative School and Columbia County Juvenile Court, the free forums started in January with a lecture on bullying and continued last month with a discussion on gangs.
