A fast food employee reported to officers that a man attempted to rob him in the restaurant’s Walton Way parking lot early Tuesday morning, but declined to prosecute.

According to an incident report, the victim, Justen Webb, 21, of Martinez, was sitting in his vehicle at KFC, 1814 Walton Way, shortly after midnight when he was approached by a man in all black clothing and a rifle.

Webb told authorities the unknown man demanded “everything he had” and then struck the window with the muzzle of the rifle.

When the victim said he didn’t have any money, the suspect ordered him out of the vehicle at gunpoint and then fled on foot.

A .22 caliber magazine with nine rounds was recovered from the scene.

Police said Webb did not wish to prosecute and refused to speak with an investigator at the time of the incident.
